Pleasant Surprise
Overall
I have been looking for on-ear headphones for a while. I hadn't used Koss products in years. As luck would have it, I was able to get the Porta Pro KTC through a rewards program at work. When they arrived, I was impressed with the look and feel of the headphones. Putting them on and cranking up my music proved I'd made the right choice. The sound quality is impressive and the KTC works perfectly with my phone. When it comes time for another set, Koss will be getting my business. You've got a new lifetime customer. :D

Koss - The Boss
Overall
I love these headphones I own two pair an older pair and the new KTC with remote cord. I invested in a better crush proof case by: Geekria from Amazon about $12 bucks designed for The KTC. Great case and I'm now a happy camper always protect the things you love. I expect many years of pleasure from these headphones.
Pros: Great adjustable fit , Comfortable , Retro design
Cons: I think the original cloth wrapped cord was better and a better carrying case is needed

They are THE BEST
Overall
These have been my go to the gym/bop around the city cans for years. I'm a high end guy, an audiophile for sure, and I can tell you without question that these are a miracle of technology. The sound is unrivaled--and I listen to FLAC only. Do not hesitate!!
Pros: Everything
Cons: None

They still make porta pro's?!
Overall
Used to own these porta pro's in the 90's and they were the best sounding headphones under $100. Period! I lost them and started using the other name brands, but wished i still had these porta pro's. But last week i was blown away when i found out they still made them! Minutes later i went on amazon.com and ordered me a pair and just received them today and it's like i just found a long lost friend! The sound and feel is just like i remember them. Still the best headphone under $100. Period!!
Pros: lightweight great clean sound
Cons: none

i'm now a true believer in Koss products
Overall
I absolutely love these headphones! In an age where the market pushes for in ear buds, or ridiculous looking over the ear Beats, these on ear bad boys stand out, both in style and sound. The vintage 80's look is what caught my eye, but what sold be is what I heard -- you can really hear the different layers of sound in each track, not just a jumbled static-y mess that so often on ear phones can only produce. You can hear subtleties and little quirks in songs that can't be picked up with other phones, which really adds to the listening experience. Make no mistake, these aren't your typical factory phones that came with your portable cd player, walkman, etc., the Porta Pro's deliver the goods. And the KTC feature is a nice touch for iPhone users, like myself. Seamless integration with the controls and mic. For under $80 I cannot think of a pair of headphones (in ear, on ear, or over ear) that can compare with the sound quality of the Porta Pro KTC's. Prepare to be blown away. And on top of all this Koss offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty, which basically means if it breaks or fails Koss will replace them. I'm on my 3rd pair of Porta Pro KTC's (thanks to a vacuum cleaner and a troublesome dog) and each time I just took the broken pair over to the Koss HQ factory (perks of living in Milwaukee I guess) and they replaced them with a brand new pair at no cost. I don't care who you are, you just can't beat that deal. Do yourself a favor and buy these headphones, you'll absolutely love 'em.
Cons: none so far

great sound
Overall
I've gone back to these after trying several in ear headphones. The Koss portapro's still have the best sound at anywhere near their price. Also, since they are an open design, I can bike or run with them and still hear in case of an emergency. I got these newer ones so I could control my iPhone while listening to music.
Pros: Excellent sound, imaging, transparency
Cons: Control is about an inch too close to ear

PortaPro
Overall
I can't comment on the KTC technology my Porta Pros don't have one. I've had mine for close to 10 years. I did make use of the lifetime warranty when my ear piece broke off. I don't like anything inside my ear so the over the ear headphone is important to me. It's comfortable the sound is great. I may look a little old fashioned wearing headphones rather than ear buds at the gym but I'm fine with that.
Pros: Comfort and Great sound
Cons: Earpiece can break off

Nice headphones...but....
Overall
Ok. There are more pros than con. But the real issue I have is the cord is too thin and it tangles VERY easily. If you're not careful, you can break it.
Pros: good quality sound
Cons: no in-line volume control; cord is too thin

Thanks, Koss!
Overall
I've owned Koss in the past and since then have owned many, many different brands of headsets. It's great to be back with Koss! Best sound for the buck and the sound is GREAT!
Pros: Sound, comfort, price.
Cons: Nothing yet.

Love Them But
Overall
Love the sound and feel, but have had to get them serviced at least 3 times as they develop annoying buzz in one of the earpieces. Initial can "fix" with a light tap but eventually needs replacing. Thank goodness for the great Lifetime Warranty.
Pros: Great sound
Cons: Reliability Issue

Better than Bose (and cheaper)
Overall
I just wanted to write a few words. Everyone else has raved. So I'll just say that they look cool, they fit well, and they sound great. I let them break in for about 24 hours before judging. They were a bit stiff out of the box. But after that they sounded great! I returned the Bose AE2i's that I bought for 3x the price the next day. The only downside is that the Touch Control buttons are small and hard to use without looking at them. If they just raised them a bit they would be the perfect headphones. Also, as an added bonus the jack is the exact same size as the apple headset jack and fits (a bit snug) with my Life proof iPhone 4 case. Which was a huge selling feature.
Pros: Sound Quality, portability, price, comfort
Cons: Touch Control Buttons Too Small
